Or, rather, my Alsatian has. Typically I’d apply dubbin to a leather product, to soften and rainproof, but the outer layer seems to be a coating. It certainly lasts. There’s not a trace of wear-and-tear. You have to measure your dog’s neck, however, to find the exact collar to fit. My Alsatian, Rex, at 14 months of age has a measurement of 18 inches. The largest DO & G collar is at maximum 18 inches. And I’d expect his neck-size to increase by an inch or two in time. I have a”comfy fit ace” collar, (also sold by Amazon), on hand for later. But this collar is very durable, looks good, (I’ve the yellow one), and currently fits my dog. I did find at the last hole, at 18 inches, I needed to secure the end of the strap with a cable tie. But, Rex visits my neighbours, (unfortunately), and as he’s still too trusting the cable tie ensures it’s hard to remove his collar. In other words, it’s hard to steal his collar. It’s an unlikely event, but possible at the same time. Overall I’m giving this collar 4 stars. Once you are careful about the sizing, and you want a long-lasting leather collar, this is a good candidate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful but please make bigger sizes *by J*** on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 June 2020* Unfortunately I brought this based off of the reviews & without measuring my dogs neck therefore underestimating the size of it (i now know his neck is about 20inches) and so the whole collar is about the same size as his actual neck meaning that there was no way it was actually going to do fit. I absolutely love the collar and the colour on him so I was determined to make it fit, so I used his old black collar to make a small extension clip and the collar now fits! He pulls on his lead a lot during walks so ive had to buy another collar incase the extension breaks and this collar will be used for home roaming, but all in all the design and quality of the collar is absolutely beautiful, I just wish the brand would make an XL as I think the large is the biggest size available :( ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 May 2018* Great quality, vibrant colour that has stayed vibrant and fantastic value for money.
