I was looking for an upgrade from my cheapo A frame easel. For under $80, it definitely surpassed my expectations. It's heavy duty and well built and it functions in exactly the way I needed it to. Since it was so cheap in price, I figured it would last a year, but I'm confident this easel will be around for a long time.Putting it together was a little frustrating as nothing is marked and the directions are mostly useless...looking at the Amazon photo display helped alot. It took me about an hour altogether just figuring out which piece goes where, but it went pretty smoothly over all. From the reviews, I was thinking I would probably throw it out the window from frustration, but really it wasn't that difficult to figure out all by myself. Contrary to other reviews, it was very simple to assemble, assuming you have enough deductive skills to use the labeled images in the directions to assemble the pieces, using the tools they even provide for you ( I'm saying this because I find it hard to believe that anyone has a hard time assembling this unless they are a millennial or have the IQ of a turnip....the negative revies are obviously one or the other). Seriously, though, it's easy to put together ( similar to assembling Ikea furniture) and it's sturdy, light, and attractive.
