Very comfortable with great traction!
This was my first online shoe purchase as well as first pair of Mizunos, so I decided to go with the larger of my typical sizes (I'm a 10.5 or 11 depending on brand.) Upon first inspection, I thought the shoes looked a little narrow and felt snug when I first tried them on. After 30 minutes of walking around in them and running some, they seemed to loosen up. After the first week of softball (one practice and two double headers), the shoes feel great and so much more comfortable than typical cleats. They also provide plenty of traction on dirt and dry grass, although I have yet to try them on wet grass and would probably switch to my old cleats for that. I give them four stars as I wish they breathed a little better, but overall I am very satisfied. I would definitely lean towards your larger size when ordering as they seem to run somewhat small.

Nice...great for Baseball Coaches etc.
Great training shoes for kids or coaches. I am a baseball coach and these are awesome. I'd prefer them to be leather or a bit higher quality on the upper materials, but as a whole, these are great! Mizuno needs to keep making these and upgrade the materials. We play out in the cold and train in wet and chilly weather and so far they keep your feet warm and provide great traction on dirt and grass. Very comfy, a little snug when you first put them on, but for any real athlete you know you want good fitting shoes that you will break in, over time, than something with too much space in it that will fly off your foot during a play. I have no complaints. I just wonder how long they will last or how breathable they are over time after you use them over and over. Will they get smelly or not? I don't know, but I have to say these are pretty comfortable even for walking around on the regular asphalt or pavement on the way to practice. No need to change shoes.

First disappointment in Mizuno Turf shoes
I have been purchasing Mizuno turf Mid cut shoes for golf and work for the past ten years. I like the added ankle support. Once you get past the sizing issues, their turf shoes are pretty good. They are cool in hot temperatures and lightweight. I have gone through several pairs of their Blast models and like them. But as they only last about two years, even when alternating with other pairs, I find myself searching for replacements. Wow! this one took me by surprise. Not in a good way. First off, the ankle cut is not Mid height but is a normal sneaker low cut. The picture looked like my older Blast type models, but I guess I needed to dig further into the description, as pictures can be misleading. That's my fault. The material is interesting. The body of the shoe is like a one piece plastic shell. Not sure if that will breath well if at all. Not willing to find out. The tongue is interesting too. It's made of shiny plastic material that seems to try to imitate "patent leather." Not for me. The materials used in this shoe make it look like a giant, oversized, toddler's shoe. You know? You can spill stuff on it and wipe it off. Yikes! RETURNED!

Great if somewhat pricey
I purchased these shoes for my work as volunteer youth softball coach. I have been Coaching for almost twenty years, and these are the best shoes I have purchased so far. I enjoy the mid ankle height, the provide additional support for long tournament days on the dirt. If you have narrow feet ( I do not ), they should fit fairly well. I purchased one pair and they were tight enough that I needed to buy an additional pair one half size larger. The shoes are are great. Excellent materials, excellent tread pattern, but the do run slightly small.

Awesome
These shoes are great! I've only payed two games with them, but they are super comfy, and I enjoy the ankle support. I only use these for slow pitch softball, but they grip enough for me. I also have weak ankles, so I feel cleats or spikes could potentially cause injury to myself over these shoes. They break in easily, but I can't comment on long term durability.Oh yeah, as others have stated, order a half size bigger. I usually wear a 10.5, but ordered an 11.

great buy
Just got these in today and i bought a half size up thanks to the reviews and im glad i did cus they fit perfectly maybe a bit tight but they will break in. They are very light and they feel like im wearing running shoes also very comfortable. I play on gravel like infields and its been hard trying to find some cleats that not only work well but will last more then 1 season and i think these are the answer. On hard packed fields you need rubber outsole or they weill slide around and wear out quickly. These are a must buy infact im getting another pair right now.

These are good enough that I plan to order another pair before ...
These are good enough that I plan to order another pair before I can't get them any more. I've played several softball games in them and they have great traction on dirt, mud and grass. They're pretty light and comfortable. They do run small...my other Mizuno's are 11 so thats what I bought and they are a bit tight but not so much that I can't play in them. Next pair will be 1/2 size larger.

Comfortable Shoe with Great Grip
I was worried that these shoes wouldn't give me the same traction as standard rubber cleats. After a half dozen games including a few in the rain, I can say these shoes grip the infield dirt and outfield grass without slipping. They are comfortable to wear and look good. I did order one size larger and they fit well. I might have gone a half size larger instead, but it could have been tight. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
