Nice to buy weller tip for weller soldering guns
I haven’t used them yet, but they’re Weller so they fit the Weller soldering gun I cant find them at any hardware stores so it’s nice to have them delivered 😍

Double check the type of tip your soldering gun requires
I didn't and these proved to be the wrong replacement tips. HOWEVER, they were very inexpensive, so I'll chalk the purchase up to a "my bad" and keep them.

CHECK that you're ordering the right size
There are (at least) three similar sizes.I accidentally ordered a smaller size and altho it physically fit, it burnt out after 2 weeks. The correct size lasts as i've grown to expect over the decades. They are designed/manufactured to fail at exactly the same point just under the tip. In 50 years i've never had one to fail any other place. Why don't they make the "diameter" (cross-section) slightly larger for the first quarter inch under the tip... it'd be worth an extra $1 to have a premium tip that lasted twice as long.

For 7200 guns, not the same as tips for 8200 guns
If you have a 7200 gun, these are the right tips. These tips will work with a Weller 8200 soldering gun, but are not the same. As some have pointed out, older 8200 guns have hex nuts instead of set screws, so the back ends of the tip need to be bent. That has always been the case since the bending has to be done after the nuts are put over the ends. It would be impossible for them to sell prebent tips without the nuts. If you want the prebent version for the 8200, you need to get the Weller Copper Soldering Tip 7135n With Nuts.If you have an 8200 that uses nuts, but you still want just the tip, you need the Apex Tool Group 7135W Replacement Soldering Gun Tip, which comes with two tips. If you have a newer 8200 with set screws, these 7235 tips will work, but aren't the ones I see pictured with newer 8200 guns. Note that these tips are made by the Apex Tool Group and carry the Weller name, so the ones I mentioned aren't an off brand. If you have an 8200 and want to know what the differences are, why these 7235 tips will work, but why you won't end up with the same thing, then read on. If you have a 7200, these are the genuine replacement you need.Even though the individual tips without nuts for an 8200 have come unbent all along, what has changed with this set is the length. Since the wide end of the tip starting at the bend is the same length and shape as the tips for the 8200, you will be able to bend the wide ends and still have things fit into your gun. When you look at the front section of this tip, you can see that the narrow portion is a half inch shorter than it is on 8200 guns. That means there's enough room on the wide end to put it through the nuts and bend it, but it means that the overall length drops by about half an inch. It also means that on the newer guns with set screws, these should plug in just fine, but if the narrow end of your tip is currently longer, you won't end up with the same thing. The pictures show how these compare to the tips for the 8200 guns.
