I am 75 years old and the collar is great for me because I am a small woman and the collar gives me much better control when I am walking him. However, the video showing how to use it was a little misleading because the collar doesn't actually have a clasp to open it. They said "pinch" the links to open it or just turn it inside out to put it on and then turn it over after you get it on. Well, there is no way I could "pinch" the links to open it. And last time I used it, after turning it inside out to take it off, somehow the link that attaches to the end that attaches to the chocker chain end twisted and I could not undo the twist. I ended up taking it to my son to use his strength to "pinch" a link to open it and use his strength to force the other end back where it was supposed to be. Sort of like those old puzzles that are linked together and you have to get them apart and put them back. Over all, I am happy with the way it performs once I get it on and situated. Materials are great and it is well worth what I paid for it.
