As for as amp draw, I'm running the stock 117a alternator, and have no problems. I'm guessing having the fans kick on in stages are a huge help to that and highly recommend that PAC-2750 for your controller. Two of these well made fans were modified to fit in place of the originals and although not correct for the car, they look like a proper upgrade and work extremely well. There are much cheaper fans available, but these are worth the little extra money. I wired each fan with separate relays and fuses for added reliability. I can drive with the newer cars in hot traffic now with no worry.
