Review: Fits right in. - Fit in like factory. Way cheaper than the parts stores around here. Quality is just like the factory one I took off. Functions like it should and no leaks.
Review: Good for a 2003 Ford Escape 3.0 - This was for a 2003 Ford Escape 3.0 4WD. Item was a good fit, came with the paper gasket and replacement bolts (5) for the water pump itself, not for the mounting to the engine. It was okay because you shouldn't need new mounting hardware for the pump body to the engine. My experience has been positive for fitment and reliability is yet to be seen. Installed about 2 weeks ago with a very light coating of RTV to basically hold the gasket in place and to fill in any scrapes between the matting surface. Surface machining on the pump was spot on so I probably didn't need to do this for the seal. Will try and update if life of pump is cut short with mileage and time frame. Hopefully and I don't see why not, this should last the remaining life of the vehicle.

**Q: the pump is exactly the same as the picture with the black elbow. my question is because only I need the elbow and I don't find it**
A: Unfortunately Gates does not offer the elbow separately

**Q: If the pump comes complete with housing why does it include the gasket? You don't need to split the pump to replace it. Am I missing something?**
A: The gasket is to be used between the pump and the motor.  No need to split the pump.

**Q: is this comes with the gaskets?**
A: No it did not.  I bought a sheet if gasket material for about a buck at the auto parts store and used an exacto knife to cut a new one using the old as a pattern

**Q: Did anyone just use the pump and not install the new housing? And how did that go?**
A: My housing was destroyed by the failed pump so I replaced the whole thing.
