## Description

These strings are engineered with the performer in mind and they will always stand up to rigorous practice and performance schedules. We start with our highest Tensile-Strength core wire, then tin-plate it on all six strings for added corrosion resistance; because what you don’t see matters! When coupled with our highest quality wrap wire you get consistent true Tone that you can count on song after song. Available in 80/20 Bronze and 92/8 phosphor bronze. Martin authentic acoustic SP strings offer excellent tuning stability, corrosion resistance and great playability.

Review: Ten years, thousands of hours — still my #1 string - I’ve been using Martin Authentic Acoustic 80/20 Bronze Custom Light (11-52) strings for at least 10 years now. In that time I’ve tried plenty of others — coated, phosphor bronze, different brands — and I always come right back to these. I play acoustic at least 30 hours a week, and I change strings every 3–4 weeks. That works out to roughly 120–150 sets over a decade, so I know exactly what I’m getting every time I open a pack. Tone: The fresh 80/20 bronze shimmer is addictive, but more importantly it settles into a warm, balanced voice that records beautifully and sits perfectly in a live mix. They never sound brittle or harsh, just clear and musical. After a few hours of play-in they hold that sweet spot for the bulk of their useful life. Feel & playability: The 11-52 custom light gauge is the Goldilocks tension for me. I can play fingerstyle, flatpick, or dig into aggressive strumming for three hours straight without hand fatigue. Bends feel smooth and controlled, and tuning stability, once settled, is as good as anything I’ve used. Longevity in the real world: With my volume of playing (30+ hours a week), 80/20 bronze strings naturally start to lose their top-end sparkle around the 3-week mark. They don’t go dead, the fundamental tone is still there, but I change them right at that point because I’m picky. A less obsessive player would easily get a couple months. For me, a fresh set every 3–4 weeks is just part of the ritual. Consistency: Over 10 years, I can count on one hand the number of strings that had any issue — no exaggeration. The quality control, string-to-string balance, and set-to-set feel are remarkably consistent. That’s the main reason I’ve stuck with them so long. Bottom line: If you want that classic Martin shimmer with a gauge that’s easy on the hands but still drives the top, these are absolutely worth a try. I’ve trusted them on every guitar I’ve owned for a decade, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Highly recommended.
Review: Martin acoustic-light - These strings are awesome. For strings in that price range can't beat it. I would definitely recommend em. I've only had em on my guitar for a day so I will give an update after some time has passed and they've been played on. As of right now they have a nice tone and feel. Hopefully they hold up for awhile. Not my normal brand I use, but I don't regret the purchase.

## Features

- PROFESSIONAL GUITAR STRINGS: Discover your guitar’s true voice! Martin Authentic Acoustic strings are designed with higher tensile strength and tin-plated core wire to enable a full and balanced tone, a quicker response, and an increased tuning stability.
- HIGH-QUALITY DESIGN: Made from 80/20 bronze, this set of 6 strings features top-quality bronzed-steel core wire and bronze wrap wire. At first, the sound is a bright, punchy attack. It quickly mellows out as you play, making this pack ideal for bluegrass players.
- SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE: Best for rigorous practice and performance, our acoustic guitar strings can be used for fingerpicking and flat picking. If you have finger fatigue after playing or wish bending notes was easier, try a lighter string gauge.
- VERSATILE STRINGS: String gauge is an important part of getting the best sound out of your guitar. We recommend using only our extra-light through medium-gauge strings on our guitars. Medium-gauge strings deliver more volume and are perfect for larger-bodied guitars.
- THE TONE YOU DESERVE: For every handmade element we craft, we never forget why we do it: To help you set your creativity free. You’ll find a wide range of Martin strings that fit your instrument and playing style. Enjoy incredible tone, no matter what you play.
