Review: Give it a chance—it’s better than it seems at first. - Pros: Good flavor, good value, easy to use once you get the hang of it, healthy alternative: low glycemic index, excellent customer service. Cons: Can be tricky to figure out at first, bag design just slightly wonky, metallic taste if you get too much, not super versatile. Reason for purchasing: My partner and I decided to look for a sugar substitute because we realized we were both eating too much sugar. He did most of the research, and landed on this specific monk fruit sweetener: Enlight Ultra Pure. I was skeptical at first—I had my heart set on the familiarity of Splenda—but I gave it a chance, and I’m glad I did! Customer service experience: Enlight sent us a troubleshooting-type email before we even received the product, explaining how to use the product, common mistakes, etc. I really appreciated that; it told me that this is a company that knows its stuff and actually cares about the customer—and it would have been frustrating to have to figure all of that out on my own, especially at this price point. Opening the package: When I got the product and opened the box, I was initially quite disappointed. I thought, “I spent that much money on this tiny bag!?” Then I tried to open the bag, and it did that thing resealable bags do so often—tearing not enough, and then far too much, falling out of your hands, and then becoming impossible to actually reseal because there isn’t enough packaging above the zipper portion to get it back open again. I lost maybe 1/4 cup of sweetener when it fell, which is a lot given how little comes in the package, and I was furious. However, I had already spent the money and opened the product, so I decided to just move forward—so I found an airtight plastic container that would fit the entire bag and moved on; again, I’m glad I did! First taste: I tasted it twice, as a tester. First, I got a tiny amount—about the size of the end of a ballpoint pen—and was shocked. It was terrible: way too sweet, and then it tasted like I was sucking on an old penny. But I remembered the email and decided to give it one more shot. This time, I stuck a spoon in the bag, then tapped off all the sweetener until there was only a residual film of the stuff that wouldn’t tap off. Then I touched just the tip of my tongue to the spoon and picked up a tiny amount of the residual film. There it was. It was sweet, delicious, and clean-tasting. At that point, I realized that this product is actually good value, because you need so little that a 50g bag lasts months. Continued use: I mostly use this in hot drinks, primarily tea and coffee, because it just doesn’t dissolve very well in colder liquids or sprinkled on solids. I used to use 3 teaspoons of Splenda per 8 oz of coffee—I only need about 1/8-1/4 teaspoon of Enlight for the same amount of coffee. Longevity: We got this at the end of May/beginning of June, 2019. It’s now August 17, 2019, and we still have about 3/4 of a bag left. That’s with using it for 3-4 cups of tea/coffee per day. Conclusion: I’ve recommended this product to several people as a hot drink sweetener, and I will continue to do so. It’s wonderful value for a wonderfully healthy alternative. However, I’d feel better about it with a more reliable resealing function, and I do wish it worked for more than hot drinks. Still, it’s easily worth the money, and it deserves five stars.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you bake with it?**
A: Yes, you can absolutely bake with it. The conversion chart is on the back of the package. Since it's over 250x sweeter than sugar, we always recommend to start with a tiny pinch and taste your beverage/recipe accordingly & slowly increase the sweetness gradually until your desired taste is achieved.

**Q: is it returnable ? see comments that it tastes bad, others love it. and that it is NOT returnable. is it???**
A: I haven't tried to return it because we love it and have purchased multiple times. It takes 1/8th of a teaspoon to be as sweet as 2-3 teaspoons of sugar. That's probably why some don't like it, they are using way to much. Even though it is a small package, it lasts a very long time. It has a nice flavor. I like it better than honey.

**Q: I am looking to replace a brand that i use to swear by, until they changed manufacturing now their so called pure monk fruit taste awful. can anyone tell me if this is really good? the smell, the taste?**
A: Our Pure Monk Fruit comes in two variations:
(1) PURE MONK FRUIT v25%
(2) ULTRA PURE v50%

We understand the frustration from consumers about changes they have experienced from other brands. In an attempt to save money, they may have abruptly changed the Mogroside Percentage to a much lower number which effects the color & taste of the product. This is probably why it taste different than what you expected.

Rest assured, that we ensure our product is consistent and we properly label all variations so that they can be easily recognizable.

Lastly, we do our best to educate consumers on the various blends of Monk Fruit that are available. When dealing with products that are exponentially sweeter than sugar, we have found that it's quite easy for them to use too much. Unfortunately, Monk Fruit does have a slight learning curve, but with time, most people are learning to measure the product properly so it delivers the desired sweetness that they are looking for.

**Q: What exactly are you getting? It shows 4 products but the details don't tell you which one you're actually going to receive, nor how much.**
A: Not sure why it's showing 4 products. Your getting the monk fruit extract 100 grams which is about 100 servings. Hope this helps

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Final Monk Fruit Switch
*by S***. on February 23, 2026*

My husband stopped using cane sugar and switched to monk fruit. He has tried several different brands. He said this one tastes the most like sugar without the after taste.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can't beat the value or quality. It's simply the best pure monk fruit I've ever found!
*by H***Y on September 30, 2018*

I can't say enough about how great this product is. The quality is top notch and you get significant amount. I once bought a 20g bag of Pure Monk Fruit from another brand for the SAME PRICE (NEVER AGAIN) and it lasted me over 2 months - this is 100g so you can really understand the value & how long it lasts. A few quick learnings I've had from using Pure Monk Fruit. (1) I like to add the powder inside my cup, BEFORE I had the liquid. It prevents it from clumping on the surface and makes it easier to blend. (2) Since it's a powder, you have to mix it really well. Sorta like using protein powders - mix it really well so it dissolves properly. (3) Add a tiny bit to your beverage first and then add more. You have to start small and increase the sweetness. I put a tiny bit on the edge of my spoon and that's enough to sweeten my coffee. (4) It's Monk Fruit, so it taste slightly different from sugar. After a few uses, you can't tell the difference any more, and I honestly prefer the taste of it over sugar now. My whole family loves it. Definitely check it out!
