Easy to install and no need to wire into mains so can be placed anywhere. Has the benefit of a timer function , programmable via the supplied remote controll . This light does not have motion detection . You set this light to automatically come on as the natural light dims and it stays on for the then pre programmed time ,we currently have it set for two hours. It gives a good bright white light . How long the light output will last in winter when you will want it set for longer is yet to be seen . Mine is positioned quite high up in a barn, so it struggles to provide much light, having said that at least I can find things and move around in the dark, which I couldn't before.
