For larger holes I got an old, damaged, used wall plug, then used the product as directed but covered the front side of the plug. Inserted it and waited for it to dry, then applied fine filler on top. For smaller holes I cut a disc in half, wetted it and pushed it in as a ball. It stays in place instead of dropping through and dries hard, so you can then fine filler over the top. Amazing. My new fave decorating product - easy to use, does a great job and well worth the money. I'm ordering more now for a loose wall plug holding the toilet roll holder (which is in a brick wall). I can see how it will firm up the plug in the hole where it's become too big over time. Great invention! Can anyone confirm that it’s the same thing.** A: Its not modroc. Mondroc is plaster of Paris for kids doing art projects or broken arms, it's very brittle. This sets solid with high tensile strength. **Q: how long should i wait to hang heavy curtains after plugging the wall using these?** A: You need to wait until the fixing is thoroughly dry or it may well pull out. how long will depend on how wet you made the fixing before inserting it, personally I would give it at least 48 hrs. **Q: I've secured a coat rack w/ 4 wall plugs: 1 has come loose but I cannot remove it or the other 3. Can I just trim some of this and fill the hole?** A: Remove coat rack, remove or tap the loose plug further in, then use a plaster filler in the old hole or over old plug, sand it flush, then re-drill the coat rack holes about 1cm from old holes, fit new plugs, use a drill bit 0.5mm to 1mm smaller than recommended, this will make the new plugs fit tighter in the wall, job done. **Q: will this fix a couple of small holes in old plaster?** A: Only of you're putting wall fixings back in to those holes. There are fillers or other mesh products you can get from paint shops to perfectly cover holes. Does what it claims. Be aware you may have to add extra depending on how big the hole is. It was a little messy, but it can be sanded off once dried. You should allow for more curing time than what the manufacturer recommends. I allowed nearly 24 hours, but when it was ready it was hard as a rock like a plaster of Paris cast.
