Unfortunately the description and pictures are inaccurate and mine came with 2 small holes on the left (volume) side of the case. They don’t appear to be a manufacturing defect but rather a design defect. It’s almost as if they were trying to create an opening for a speaker or something but the iPhone XR doesn’t have one there. It’s not actually that bad of a design flaw but annoyingly the way I often hold my phone results in this rigid, rough part of the case scraping my finger.Hopefully they redesign this case and fix this oversight.
