Features: Highly polished stainless steel Fid sizes: 4, 5. 5, 7. 5, 10, and 13 mm Splice double and hollow braided lines from 1/8" to 9/16" Splice three-strand line or twine up to 1-1/8" WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Diisononly Phthalate (DINP) which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. Review: High quality - easy to use - These are very easy to use. The nesting is nice, too. They are hollow and have a little tab to help pull line through (instead of trying to push it through). They are not as sturdy as more traditional fids, though. Don't use them as a handle! I prefer the Brion Toss splicing wand for most splices.

There is a small tooth at the back of the Fid that holds the line in place while your splicing so you don't need to tape the lines.

These are very easy to use. The nesting is nice, too. They are hollow and have a little tab to help pull line through (instead of trying to push it through). They are not as sturdy as more traditional fids, though. Don't use them as a handle! I prefer the Brion Toss splicing wand for most splices.

I was able to use this kit the day it arrived. Had been looking for a complete set of Fids in one kit and the Ronstan kit worked out perfectly. There is a small tooth at the back of the Fid that holds the line in place while your splicing so you don't need to tape the lines.
