Review: A bit goes a long way. - We stumbled upon this being used in a cocktail at a fabulous little restaurant in Dupont Circle, and decided we needed to be able to recreate the drink at home. Thanks to the convenience of technology and poor impulse control, we ordered this on the spot. The flavoring is subtle but distinct, and lends itself particularly well to burboun/dark drinks. We've even used it to put a bit of a twist on a vodka cranberry, which was surprisingly tasty. I think in reality we needn't have ordered the two-pack, but since this will be a staple in our cabinet from now on I'm not too worried.

We stumbled upon this being used in a cocktail at a fabulous little restaurant in Dupont Circle, and decided we needed to be able to recreate the drink at home. Take a 3/4 full bottle of bourbon and add 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 ounces of chocolate bitters, and fill the rest with brown sugar simple syrup. Leave it in the fridge for at least a week. But be careful as it's so delicious that you may drink it a little faster than planned.
