The Nemo Switchback doesn't stand up to testing when compared. *by D***7 on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2019* Unfortunately I purchased both this and a Thermarest Sol to compare. I've now slept exclusively on first the thermarest Sol for one month solid then planned on sleeping on the Nemo Switchback for one solid month. However, after about two weeks I have swithed back to the thermarest sol. The Sol has maintained its comfort, while the Switchback on the other hand, has lost a great deal of its support and its foam feels like it has compressed. Now both has been on the same bare wooden platform and have not been tested on uneven, rocky ground. However, because the Switchback has become uncomfortable on such a flat surface I would not trust it in such environments. ### ⭐ High hope's, but seriously let down... *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2020* I had high hopes going into it, but this pad has already lost its comfort and compressed way too much in only about 1 week. I can already feel the ground and the cold underneath it. It may technically measure as being slightly thicker than its foam competitor, but that doesnt equate to more comfort. The raised dimples are the culprit of that thickness illusion but they flatten at pressure points and soon stop coming back up. Combine that with the fact that all of the dimples are hollow underneath so the actual thickness once they flatten down is near paper thin. I like foam pads so my disappointment isnt from comparing it to inflatables. I dont recommend this to anyone, but especially not side sleepers. I'm a stomach sleeper and it wasn't comfortable, but I know from rolling onto my sides that they would hate it the most... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The most comfortable fold up light weight pad that doesn't bottom out *by B***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2020* I haven't used it for real camping yet because of the virus. We cancelled our trip. But I used it on my hard tile floor. And just the Nemo switchback by itself provided support. I first used the Teton universal pad. But I bottomed out on the hard flat floor. But this one alone never bottomed out. And I'm 260lbs. It's very light weight and folds up perfectly. The material seems pretty durable. The foam looks like it will take abuse. The only thing I don't think would take abuse is the seams at each fold.I ultimately will be using the Nemo switch back with the REI co-op self inflating pad. But tbh if you are are a lightweight daily camper then this is perfect enough with a good enough sleeping blanket.
