I put a voltmeter on it and it delivers 7.5V under no load which meets specs but fails to work. My best guess is this unit can't deliver the power needed once it is in the camera. I will be returning it.Update: After some contortions I find if you hold it in place just right it will sometimes power the camera so the circuitry is fine but the production values are a bit off. Perhaps this is just random bad luck as the other reviews are positive. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Allright *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2012* It does what one needs it to do but the ergonomics and design of it are pretty bad. The cord connecting the wall-outlet to the transformer always falls out. After a while, I had to put a bunch of tape on it to hold it together. Overal, I guess it's not terrible if you need to do tethered shooting like I do. Nice, long, 6' cord between the power supply transformer and the battery replacement. The cord gets fed through a spring loaded opening that I never noticed before.
