I was hoping for a good challenging book but this one isn't it. The crosswords are way too simple, the rest of the puzzles are boring.  Same puzzles throughout the book over and over and over and I found I was tired of it after the first few pages.  There are way more interesting ways to challenge your brain besides crosswords (poor ones like in this book), sudoku, word searches, lists to memorize and so on.  Look for something more interesting.

I don't like crossword puzzles that are too difficult.  These were just right for me.  And I love the variety of the activities.  I get tired of doing all the same thing.  This was a very nice mix.  I had never heard of cryptograms.  But they ended up being one of my favorites in this book.  Loved it so much, I got it for my sister too!

I found this book to be a very relaxing and enjoyable way to challenge myself without getting frustrated. I like the way the chapters rotate through several different types of memory challenges. I definately saw improvement through memorizing the word lists. I found strategies on line that helped me improve my results for several of the game types. I recommend this book. I'm 60yrs old and was noticing a decline in my memory. This book is a way to take action and do something about it!
