It's very easy to use! on top-rope it's just like using an ATC, and on lead the only thing I had to be shown how to do was put in slack quickly. (It locks up if you try to pull too much too fast, but there are methods that help prevent this.) In my opinion, this is much simpler to use than the grigri plus.
