It installed easily on my VERTICAL air vent. It’s stable in the vertical vents and the phone easily, I repeat EASILY goes into the holder and is released from same. I’ve had a couple of other holders and it was one or the other...easy to add and remove OR stable on the vertical air vents. I’m sure this would also be stable on horizontal vents. ### ⭐⭐ Not a good buy over all! If your phone is in any kind of a case it will probably have difficulty securing on the sides. Also, the feet are right where the headphones Jack is so you can't use it in your phone. Third, the way it works is the weight of your phone pushes the two sides together by pushing the feet down. I never got a snug fit due to my phone being too wide. I got one for both my car and my wife’s and it doesn’t work very well in hers... tends to fall off. I’m wishing I had got the kind that inserts into your CD player.
