Stays true to the slimness of the iPad Mini. The buttons are hard to press though. The power button has to be pushed in all the way for it to hit the button on the iPad. The volume buttons have to be hit in the right spot or they won't hit the button on the iPad. The switch is also a monster to get since it's just a small cutout. If buttons were fixed this would easily be a 5 star case. The rest of the cutouts are perfectly aligned. Color is spot on and there are no funky smells coming from the case.As to whether it would protect my investment from a fall.. Jury is still out on that. I can definitely tell a screen protector is required since the case is so slim. This was my first iPad mini case so I was not expecting much for 15 bucks. But, this is a good case. It's a little heavy, but it's plastic and soft plastic. How heavy can it be? The buttons function just fine with this case. I'm typing on it now as I have the built in leg holding it on my desk.The case covers the entire back. No front coverage other than the small lip that actually gives me something to hold on to. Let's face it. This mini is hard to hold without a decent case.
