Review: When you need a heavy hitter - This socket has the mass when coupled with a high torque impact gun (rattler) to really deliver the heavy impact needed to undo those stubborn crankshaft bolts. My 3 foot breaker bar bending alarmingly with all my considerable body mass on it was unable to shift that bolt and all my other air impact sockets failed too, but this socket made short work of it.
Review: Had to buy it from USA - First of all desertcart price was £20 more expensive than delivered from USA. Used only once but well happy with the strength of the Lisle 77060 that after trying several methods to undo the Crank Nut the LIsle undid in it seconds. So after 2 hours of open heart surgery my 1999 Honda Aerodeck (V rare) now has a brand new cam belt. Happy days xxx

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this socket be used with a big breaker bar to get the job done?  Or is impact wrench required?**
A: Although a 1/2” breaker bar will fit this socket , you will need a crankshaft pulley holding tool to hold the engine from turning while attempting to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt . This socket will NOT fit through the 50mm crankshaft pulley holding tool used on Honda engines for example . This socket and/or other sizes or brands are designed to be used exclusively with an impact wrench . Since it won’t fit through the pulley holding tool previously mentioned , using this socket with a breaker bar will be of no advantage if you’ve no way to hold the engine from turning upon attempting to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt . Using the holding tool will require just a deep impact standard socket so that it may fit through the holding tool .

**Q: Do they make a 12pt version of this too? i use the arp 12pt crank bolt on my track car.**
A: No bro  it dont have 12 point. Only 6 point.

**Q: Oh i got it now, it’s for removal only because crankshaft should only turn counter clockwise?**
A: The extra momentum will help you to get the crankshaft bolt to move.

**Q: Engine turns clockwise (when looking at the nut.) It should never be turned counter-cw. This will drive engine counter-cw if bolt is too tight?**
A: If using an impact wrench, the inertia of the engine will keep it from turning.  If you do the crank pulley bolt first, before you take the serpentine belt off, the inertia of the accessories will also keep it from turning.  I just did this, and the engine didn't turn at all.
