Review: OK, this was actually a really good movie. - I wasn't going to watch this movie because I thought it looked really sappy and cheesy. But I saw a few clips on YouTube and thought the acting looked good and the costumes/set was historically authentic. This movie is really good. It's a slow paced look at people. And it's old enough that it doesn't try to preach at you or jam an ideology down your throat. It's simply a good story about people and how they are (the good and the bad). It looks at how poor choices can hurt others and how joy can be found in the day to day beauty of trying to love people where they're at.

I wasn't going to watch this movie because I thought it looked really sappy and cheesy.
