Weight distribution hitches are commonly used on travel trailers and campers but can also be applied to other large loads. These replacement weight distribution hookup brackets make it easy to attach spring bars to the tongue frame of your trailer and get the exact tension needed to level your towing setup. They feature a bolt-on mounting system for secure attachment to your trailer and offer a snap-up design that can be leveraged into place with a weight distribution lift handle #17112. To ensure long-lasting use, these replacement spring bar hangers come with a durable powder coat finish. ## Features - Allows for secure mounting of the spring bars on the trailer frame - Perfect for use on trailers with LP tanks or other obstructions - Replaces factory brackets - Snap-up design allows for easy leveraging of spring bar - Bracket protected by a highly durable carbide powder coat finish ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001GMTL2Y | | Best Sellers Rank | #129,790 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #31 in Towing Drawbar Hitches | | Brand Name | CURT | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (1,887) | | Finish Types | Powder Coated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00612314172085 | | Included Components | WD Hookup Brackets | | Item Dimensions | 14 x 7 x 5 inches | | Item Type Name | Replacement Weight Distribution Hitch Hookup Brackets | | Item Weight | 12.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | Curt Manufacturing | | Manufacturer Part Number | 17208 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts) | | Material Type | Carbon Steel | | Model Number | 17208 | | UPC | 612314172085 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** CURT - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 12.3 pounds - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 14 x 7 x 5 inches - **Material:** Carbon Steel ## Images ![Curt Manufacturing 17208 Wd Hookup Brackets (New Design) 1Pr - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Cm74TPGpL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will these work with Curt 17063 weight distribution hitch?** A: Yes **Q: How do these mount to the tongue of the trailer?** A: They simply slip down over the top of the tongue rail, one on each side, then you secure them with the bolts that were provided so they don't vibrate off when not in use. **Q: Will this work on a 2021 Silverlake pull RV** A: These hookup brackets are part of a larger system that includes two other main components: the trailer hitch, and the weight distribution rods (with chains). My trailer is significantly smaller than what I could see on the internet in reference to yours, so, as long as the system could handle the size/weight, the other questions are: 1. Judging from pictures on the web, the platform for the propane tanks would interfere with these hookup brackets since the top of the brackets rotate up and lock in place above the top of the trailer frame. So that would be one reason these might not work. 2. If you have the proper trailer hitch assembly, which would include cylinders in which to lock the distribution rods, then you should be covered from that end. 3. Does the trailer hitch height when installed on the pull vehicle match the level height of the trailer? If not, then you will need to adjust the hitch height to match. If you can't do that, then this system will not work for you. This system is for maintaining a level connection between the pull vehicle and the rv, as well as weight distribution. **Q: What are the torque specs on the long bolts that secure the bracket to the square tubing of the A-Frame?** A: I'm not sure. I had Genral RV put them on when I bought my camper. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/11199783-curt-manufacturing-17208-wd-hookup-brackets-new-design-1pr](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/11199783-curt-manufacturing-17208-wd-hookup-brackets-new-design-1pr) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
