The fact that it did not have any screws showing made it look even nicer. Our house has white siding with all black accessories, so this color made the most sense. It comes with a face plate that clips on to a metal bracket which screws directly to the surface. You must remove the button from the bracket and slide the wires through the bracket. You then mount the bracket with the screws. Then mount the face plate to the brackets. So now the wires are sticking out the face plate. From here you wire the button and push it in to the faceplateMine has small ding on the finish near the button that's hardly noticeable, not sure if I did that or if it came that way so I give it a slight mark down for durability.
