I would say they are very similar to the case you would expect in a store bought cd. Very pleased. **Q: is this jewel case for ps1 or deamcast games?** A: yes but be aware that these are missing the "Compact Disc" logo that should be present on the top right and bottom left of the disc tray **Q: does anyone have the weight of a single shell W/O the tray in ounces?** A: In answer to the question as stated, the weight of the shell alone, exclusive of tray, is 1.43 ounces (40.5 grams). With our regular supplier having some shortages we bought these in a pinch. I have to say they are the sturdiest/thickest case I have ever tried(and I have bought thousands of cases). The tray fits well and the disc holds secure. With that being said the only drawback is that the tray does not have the usual cd brand but rather a random number imprinted on it(I imagine a part number). For the person replacing personal cases this is no big deal, but worth noting. For us we will definitely buy these again if we are in a pinch but not for our regular supply.
