## Overview

The Block GenZ 16" Youth Open Archery Target is engineered specifically for young archers using bows with a draw weight of 40 lbs or less. Compatible with all arrow types, lightweight and portable, it offers high-contrast aiming points to boost accuracy and confidence in every practice session.

## Description

The BLOCK GenZ was designed specifically with the young archer in mind. It is intended for bows of 40 pounds of draw weight or less. The GenZ features the legendary open-layered technology which allows for easy arrow removal and longer target life no matter what kind of arrow tip the GenZ shooter is using. High-contrast white-on-black aiming points offer great visibility, so your child can move up from the larger aiming points to the smaller spots for a greater degree of difficulty and superior accuracy.

Review: PERFECT! Small enough to be light and protable, big enough to present a meaningful and functional target. LOVE IT! - Love the Field Logic Youth Block GenZ Target. It's small enough to be extremely portable and big enough to present a meaningful target for both my children and myself. Every once and a while they'll miss and we'll have to search for an arrow, but for the most part my beginner archers (9 & 11) can hit this target consistently from 20-30 yards without any trouble. With 30-35 pound bows at 20 yards the arrows (with field tips) penetrate about 5-7 inches and remove easily. Even though it's only stated to accept 40lb bows or less, I regularly shoot at it with my 55 pound bow without any trouble. My arrows punch all the way through the other side but are safely stopped about halfway (30 inch arrows), which might be problematic for anybody that wishes to set up the target against a hard background. But they are still easy to remove; they slide right out. I have not shot broadheads at this target so I can't comment on it's performance in that regard, but with field tips it's terrific. If there is any negative at all it's that it will occasionally tip over when an arrow hits high, which bent a couple of aluminum arrows when it tipped over. But that complaint probably isn't fair given that it happens most with a bow that is set to a heavier LB than the target is rated for, but it does also happen occasionally with the 30 and 35lb bows. The aluminum arrows that bent were cheap and I was expecting to have to throw them away soon anyway so it didn't really bother me. The carbon arrows survive the tip-over event without an trouble (usually it tips back a little when the arrow strikes and then falls forward when it tips back, the weight of the arrows on the front pulling it over - so the arrow(s) still stuck in the target break the fall. We always have it set up on grass, maybe this wouldn't happen on a hard surface? haven't tried that). But I really don't mind this little issue as I wanted something LIGHT and PORTABLE. It would not tip if it was heavier, but it would be harder to transport then too. If there must be a trade off I'll keep the portability. All in all, though, this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Something small, light and portable that we could easily take with us wherever we go. Simply drop it and shoot. Couldn't be any easier than that. Have never had it damage an arrow (the above tipping incident not withstanding) or have any difficulty removing arrows from the foam layers. We've put a few hundred arrows into it so far and one can just barely tell that it has been used, so I expect that it'll hold up well for a long time to come. GREAT PRODUCT. Would definitely recommend to a friend and/or buy again.
Review: Great for kids - This is perfect for a kid. Which is what it is made for. This is not made for adults to be shooting their arrows into. If you do, it will not last. Because it is not made to. If you are an adult and buying it for yourself, buy something that is made for you. That being said, I have shot a few arrows into it with a small recurve and have had no problems. Its still in 1 piece and has not fallen apart. That was just as a test though and not the reason I bought it. I bought this for my 8 year old son as a Christmas present. He has used it very regularly for 6 months now, and it is still in perfect condition. He uses a standard youth bow, not a compound bow. His arrows are able to sink in plenty and he has no problem pulling them back out. He is also only using field tips though. We have not shot any blades into it. For a kid using it pretty regularly (almost every day), I can see this still lasting a year or even more. It is light without being too light. A kid can easily carry it around, but it is not going to fall over from the force of the arrow unless you hit it very hard with an arrow at the very top of the target. We have not had this happen yet though. I would definitely recommend this for a kid up to age 13 or so.

## Features

- FRICTION STOPPING SYSTEM: Open layers stop arrows with friction instead of crushing them. Arrows slide between unglued foam layers, heat and friction grab the shaft, then it cools and lets go.
- BUILT FOR YOUTH BOWS: Made for young archers using bows with a 40 lb. draw weight or less.
- WORKS WITH ALL ARROW TYPES: Field tips, fixed blades, and mechanicals. One target handles whatever arrows kids are practicing with.
- EASY ON YOUNG ARCHERS: Kids can actually pull their arrows out without help. More time practicing, less time wrestling with stuck arrows.
- LASTS LONGER: Open-layer design takes more hits than regular foam blocks. Better value for youth programs and parents buying targets.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How big is it?**
A: 16 x 17 x 7.5 inches is the listed dimensions. I am not where I can measure it to see if that is exactly correct but I know it would be very close to that size. It's great for practice. Now keep in mind we bought ours some time ago. I have noticed lately with other products that are being sold on Amazon that they are not the same quality as products from a few years ago. I hope it's the same because we are happy with ours.

**Q: Will 260fps be ok with this target.?**
A: No, this target is for lower impacts such as with youth bows.

**Q: Will this work with safety arrows? My 5 year old loves his Bear scout beginning archery set...and I'm no where near ready to give him field tips**
A: Hello, we have the same set and it works with this target

**Q: How long does it last?**
A: This one is more for children. My daughter is 16, we haven't had it a year, and she needs a new one. She does NASP competitions and practices a lot. I wish I would've gotten her a different one.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality backyard archery target
*by R***. on April 20, 2024*

This target block is definitely great quality it's lasted 9 months so far almost from ordering it. I use its perfect for 25ft to 30ft grass backyard. Aluminum, fiberglass and carbon arrows no broadheads used practice arrows tips only. The arrows come out the back half a ft its okay but kinda dangerous don't use more powerful strength bows on this foam target. Ive ordered 3 of these for myself and these are awesome!!!
