## Description

Pure Casein binder that is used to make Casein paints. Casein Emulsion can be mixed with Casein paints to improve brushability or flow without altering any other characteristics. When using Casein paints for very thin washes, mix one part Casein Emulsion with five parts water to ensure color brilliance and to maintain adhesion and integrity of the paint film.

**Q: Can the casein emulsion be used with watercolour**
A: Maybe.  The downside to the emulsion is it's very strong odor.  One needs good ventilation during use.

**Q: Is this artist quality, i., e., acid-free?  Can you mix it with a little alcohol so it will dry faster?**
A: This is artist quality.  You don't need to mix it with anything except your casein paints because casein paint dries quickly, about as fast, or faster than acrylics.
