After doing a lot of research I decided on this one and it is great for these reasons: - it is soft, doesn't slide around and is quiet - the elastic and generous side fabric fits perfectly over an extra large down topper I have on top of the mattress - it is waterproof for general leaks (I haven't tried to pour water on it but I have a baby who started to have an accident that I caught in time and after removing the pad to wash I saw that it didn't go through to the mattress and the stain washed right out hot water). - there is not an odor or "plastic" smell right out of the package like with most of these items so I put it straight on the bed upon opening. What you need to know is that this is not one of those padded toppers that will add any cushion. That is why I bought a separate topper for that reason. I would buy this again for another guest bed. Review: We got this for a temporarily needed hospital with a Twin XL mattress. It is comfortable and soft. - This mattress cover does not feel or look like it would be waterproof, but it is. It is soft -- like lying on cotton sheets. We use it under cotton sheets to ensure the mattress stays dry from perspiration or the occasional urinary incompetence that can come from anesthesia recovery. The mattress cover fits so well in fact, I keep forgetting whether it is zipped in place or just held by elastic. I don't know how many times I've checked when making the bed. This is as comfortable as the sheets, with none of the feel of lying on a rubber shield like one can feel in a hospital. The Twin XL size fits the mattress perfectly. Every few times I change the sheets, I toss this in the laundry, too and it comes out looking like new. ## Features - SIZE & DEPTH: This Guardmax Mattress Protector fits a Cot Size Mattress that measures 33 x 75 X 12. It protects your mattress against any and all liquids. Whether it is a drink or urine no liquid spill will penetrate through the TPU laminate membrane. - SOFT AND BREATHABLE: Made from a high quality jersey knitted polyester, the Guardmax Mattress Cover is soft, breathable, and extremely comfortable. Gone are the days of feeling like you are sleeping on a plastic mattress case and welcome to full protection without compromising on comfort. - HYPOALLERGENIC: The Guardmax Mattress Cover protects against dust, dirt, and dander. When you go to sleep on a Guardmax Mattress Protector you don't have to worry about sneezing throughout the night anymore. Sleep allergy free with Guardmax. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07KGGHMLB | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #190,761 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #206 in Mattress Protectors | | Brand | Guardmax | | Brand Name | Guardmax | | Closure Type | Pull On | | Color | 1-white | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,839 Reviews | | Fabric Type | Jersey Knitted Polyester | | Manufacturer | Mastertex | | Manufacturer Part Number | GM004 | | Material Type | Jersey Knitted Polyester-White | | Model Name | Guardmax | | Model Number | GMDP001 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Dust Mite Control, Hypoallergenic, Moisture-Wicking, Water Proof | | Product Care Instructions | Machine Wash | | Size | Cot (33" x 75") | | Special Feature | Dust Mite Control, Hypoallergenic, Moisture-Wicking, Water Proof | | Thread Count | 95 | | UPC | 856693004067 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Guardmax - **Color:** 1-white - **Fabric Type:** Jersey Knitted Polyester - **Size:** Cot (33" x 75") - **Special Feature:** Dust Mite Control, Hypoallergenic, Moisture-Wicking, Water Proof ## Images ![Jersey Knitted Cot Size Mattress Protector - Waterproof & Dust Mite Proof Mattress Cover with Stretchable Pockets - Soft, Comfortable, & Noiseless Waterproof Fitted Sheet.(33 x 75 X 12) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lyJDQoR8L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do I need to buy the Guardmax Mattress Encasement along with the Guardmax Waterproof Fitted Sheet?** A: No. Customers love doing this and we are thankful for the business, but it is not necessary if your concern is just about protecting your mattress from spills. Each product has its advantages and maybe that is why people buy both, but not necessary. **Q: I like for my dog to sleep with me. Can Guardmax protect my mattress if my dog has a nature call on the mattress?** A: Yes. We use an extremely high TPU laminature layer to protect against any and all liquids even those that may come from pets. **Q: Why is your Mattress Protector More Expensive Than Some Others I see on the market?** A: Have you ever heard of the old expression, "You get what you pay for?" Guardmax uses only the highest quality fabrics. Our TPU Laminate is a much higher range than other waterproof mattress protectors. High Quality is usually more expensive. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, is as described *by T***L on April 28, 2014* We recently purchased a new king-sized mattress and I wanted to get a new mattress pad right away since our old one was ages old. It is comfortable and soft. *by J***A on July 28, 2023* This mattress cover does not feel or look like it would be waterproof, but it is. It is soft -- like lying on cotton sheets. In such hours, I rise again and again, drawn by the inexorable summons of some hidden tide within β€” as though the very sea had taken up residence in my veins. No human frame, I think, could hold such floods, and yet mine defies reason, pouring forth its nocturnal abundance as though mocking nature’s design. It was out of weary necessity, then, that I turned to the Guardmax King Size Waterproof Mattress Cover β€” a quiet sentinel against the humiliations of the flesh. Where once I slept in anxious vigil, I now rest without dread. Its surface is soft as forgiveness, cool beneath the hand, and free of that crinkling protest that so often betrays lesser protections. Beneath its calm composure lies an impenetrable strength β€” a steadfast barrier that endures the deluge with saintly composure. Each dawn I greet untroubled linens, unstained and serene, and feel within a gratitude tinged with awe. The mattress beneath, once imperiled by the nightly storm, remains pure as untouched snow. Truly, in its humble way, this contrivance restores dignity to the afflicted. How strange that salvation should come not from the lofty remedies of physicians, but from a fitted cover β€” soft, silent, and resolute in purpose. In it I discern a metaphor for endurance itself: that we may, through quiet strength and steadfast design, prevail against even our most unseemly trials. Thus I commend the Guardmax Cover as both shield and solace β€” a mute companion through the damp absurdities of human existence. ## Frequently Bought Together - Guardmax Cot Mattress Protector - Premium Waterproof and Hypoallergenic Cot Size Mattress Cover Fitted Sheet - Protects Against Urination, Perspiration, & Other Fluid Spills. - Cot Sheet 31" x 75", Cot Size Mattress Sheets Fitted with Narrow Twin/Camp Bunk/Rvs Bunk/Guest Beds/Army Cots/Trifold Mattress, Super Soft Breathable Microfiber Bed Cover, Bottom Sheet, White - Milliard Tri Folding Mattress with Washable Cover Cot Size (75 inches x 31 inches x 4 inches) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/114578201-jersey-knitted-cot-size-mattress-protector-waterproof-and-dust-mite](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/114578201-jersey-knitted-cot-size-mattress-protector-waterproof-and-dust-mite) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
