Review: Good Replacement Filter - This works perfectly in our 9500. We did not experience the gas-like smell as mentioned by previous reviews. I love how it fits exactly into the unit with no gaps around the side. Thus 100% of the air circulated thru your air purifier is being cleaned. You can remove the entire filter that comes with your unit (grey colored) and replace it with the new filter (black colored). Per Winix customer service, you can just discard the old filter as it should no longer be used after one year. Customer service also recommended that I remove the front and back filters of my replacement for cleaning every 3 months (the white inner filter cannot be washed only the front and back filters). We are extremely satisfied with this filter...we purchased off market brand replacements in the past but the sizing was not accurate and there are gaps around the sides. It's worth paying more for this filter. Review: It's a little different, but seems genuine - It is a little bit different than the original filter. I have a WAC9500 from 2015. The original filter for that was a gray plastic. The original also had a small foam gasket around the back, this replacement did not. I was able to reuse the original gasket it seems, or you could buy some at the local home store. It may not be needed however, which is why they might have omitted it. Seals pretty well without it. The tabs for pulling it out of the machine are in a different location, does not match up with the recessed hand holds of the machine. However, this does not affect anything. No interference and installs/removes just fine. Finally, the carbon filter is a bit different. The original had square sections, like the prefilter looks, with the carbon packed in the squares. This new replacement one has tiny hexagon sections with a small amount of carbon packed in those. I would say the original carbon filter contained 20% more carbon. This replacement isn't skimpy on the carbon media, it's just the design has a lot more plastic in the air path. Still feels substantial and not as see-through as some 3rd party ones. Overall I'm happy with it. The main HEPA filter is just as high quality as the original, perfectly sized, not bunched up or damaged. ## Features - 99.99% True-HEPA Filter - Washable Anti-Bacterial Pre-Filter - Washable AOC (Advanced Odor Control) Carbon Filter - CleanCel Anti-Microbial Product Protection helps to reduce 99.9% of bacterial growth on filter. - Fits WInix Air Cleaner Models: P300, WAC9500, WAC9000, WAC5000, WAC6300, WAC5500, WAC5300, and WAC5000B. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00ESJDGE6 | | Air Filter Construction | Pleated | | Best Sellers Rank | #477,984 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #2,818 in Air Purifier Filters | | Brand | Winix | | Brand Name | Winix | | Common Applications | Appliances | | Compatible Air Purifier Models | Winix 5300, Winix 6300, Winix 9500, Winix P300, Winix U300 | | Compatible Devices | Air Purifier, Winix air cleaner models 9500 and U300 | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,173 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08809154395824 | | Included Components | Filters | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 16"L x 13.5"W x 2.5"Th | | Item Type Name | Genuine Winix Replacement Filter B | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | MERV Rating | 13 | | Manufacturer | Winix | | Manufacturer Part Number | 114190 | | Material | Carbon | | Material Type | Carbon | | Model Number | 114190 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 16"L x 13.5"W x 2.5"Th | | Product Grade | new | | UPC | 798837869210 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Winix - **Material:** Carbon - **Product Dimensions:** 16"L x 13.5"W x 2.5"Th - **MERV Rating:** 13 - **Compatible Devices:** Winix air cleaner models 9500 and U300, Air Purifier - **Item Weight:** 1 Pounds - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 08809154395824 - **UPC:** 798837869210 - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Manufacturer:** Winix ## Images ![Genuine Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500, U300 Air Purifiers, black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1O8GP+UJoS.jpg) ![Genuine Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500, U300 Air Purifiers, black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1KM9gCVa8S.jpg) ![Genuine Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500, U300 Air Purifiers, black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1uGYV2jKAS.jpg) ![Genuine Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500, U300 Air Purifiers, black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31Wvk45OHLS.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: After i replaced the whole filter cassette on my winix wac9500 air cleaner, the filter light is still red. am i doing something wrong?** A: Before you place the filter back in place you have to RESET the air purifier. As everything is still outside and the inside is exposed, look on the top right side for the RESET button. Press and then it all starts normal. Place the front cover and you should be all set. Good luck. **Q: Can someone clarify why this product is better than the older version (Winix 119110 Ultimate Replacement Filter)? I have the Winix WAC9500. Thanks!** A: I have the older Winix WAC9000 model which has been going strong for 5 years 24/7. I ordered the 119110 but received the newer replacement. The only difference I see is the size of the tab on each side of frame (for removal I guess) and the color, black instead of gray. It fits perfect. Why people say they have trouble with it fitting baffles me. **Q: Does this fit the Winix 5300 Model?** A: Not any more. My previous 8 orders all fit my Winix 5300 but not this one. It's the same size but the plastic frame has tabs in a different place. I had to remove the grid, paper filter, and carbon filter from this and put it into my old plastic frame. **Q: Does this fit the Winix Model 9500?** A: Yes. I have the model 9500. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Replacement Filter *by N***C on May 22, 2018* This works perfectly in our 9500. But, unfortunately, Winix doesn’t make the model of the HEPA filter that I have.. (which is the Winix PlasmaWave 9500 Ultimate Pet Air Purifier “WAC9500”) I did purchase replacement filter from Amazon before this specific one from another seller/brand and it seemed fine in the beginning, though the tabs did not fit exactly in the right place it was supposed to.. (and same with this one as well, the tabs aren’t placed in the correct spot, where it actually should fit into, but that doesn’t seem to affect the actually fit or filter in any way. I’ve seen reviews in the past about ppl mentioning and complaining of how the tabs aren’t in the correct spot, but honestly it still fits and it doesn’t seem to affect how the air filter runs and works at all in any way in my opinion) But, back to what I was first trying to say, I did purchase a replacement filter from a different seller/brand then this one and I thought it was fine at first, but in the end, I finally found out that it was crap because you’re able to take out the carbon filter that’s in the back and wash it and put it back into the cassette and when I went to go and do that. I noticed that the material that was on the perimeter/border was made out of literally like construction paper type of material and obviously when I washed it just all started coming apart. So, I was definitely nervous about my second go around and trying to find a replacement filter. (I’m pretty sure they sell the replacement filter for the model that I have on the official Winix site, I think, and I can’t remember exactly, but if I purchased it off of Amazon, then that means that it was just a lot more cheaper, lol.) so, I had the option of paying more for the one on their official site or trying to go and find one on Amazon that will actually be a filter that wasn’t made from crap and actually worked like the original one (except for that tiny ”tab” issue that really isn’t an issue) and after many many comparing and using Fakespot, I came across this replacement filter. And of course, the first thing that I did when it was delivered to me I made sure that the back coat set that you can take out and wash every three months or so was made of good material, and not like the first one that I purchased and it seems to me like it’s made out of good strong material and not like the construction paper type of stuff that it was made out of from my previous one. I haven’t gotten around to actually washing it yet, but I can just tell by the look and feel of what the filter is made out of. I just know that it’s not going to fall apart like the last one did… (hopefully!!) I guess I’ll have to write another new review after I get a chance to actually wash the carbon filter and see how everything holds up but I have a feeling that this time around there won’t be any problems, but like I said, if there are any problems when I get around to it, I will make sure to update and let you guys know! ## Frequently Bought Together - Genuine Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500, U300 Air Purifiers, black - Genuine Winix 116130 Replacement Filter H for 5500-2 Air Purifier , 16.25"L x 12.5"W x 1.5"Th, White - Genuine Winix 115115 Replacement Filter A for C535, 5300-2, P300, 5300, White/Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1156374-genuine-winix-114190-replacement-filter-b-for-9500-u300-air](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1156374-genuine-winix-114190-replacement-filter-b-for-9500-u300-air) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
