Help?** A: What shutter speed are you shooting at? On most Canon models the sync is usually between 1/60 and 1/200. It us good for a hair light, and background lighting. 2-yes, bit it doesn't produce enough light to set off a more powerful main light. 3-the red bottons are for making the lights go off, to warm them up/or test them. **Q: Do these work as TTL flashes at all? I have a Nikon.** A: Unfortunately not. You'll have to setup your shutter speed anywhere from 125 -160, possibly a stop higher. ISO 100 and I was using f8-f11. It all depended on how far I placed these strobes. The strobes can be either flash slave or cable controlled. **Q: How big are the umbrellas?** A: Like any regular umbrella, They're a pretty decent size. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Square Perfect is an untapped resource for any level of photographer. *by M***N on March 11, 2013* I am a Professional Photographer; the kind that owns his own office and studio space, and sustains his family with his work. I am one of the first to admit that I am a bit of an elitist when it comes to equipment, but I have fallen in love with Square Perfect. Also, who can honestly say that they do not mind saving some money, when there is no compromise on quality?This set up falls right in line with my experience with other Square Perfect products. Well packaged in reusable sleeves for the umbrellas, easy to set up, withstands daily use well, and very easy on the wallet. The umbrellas reflect light just as well as the commercial umbrellas I used when I apprenticed in a commercial studio, and hit the wallet at a third of the price. I recommend them whenever I can! ### ⭐⭐ Not a very sturdy set *by S***Y on January 18, 2013* I was disappointed in this set when I unpackaged it. It is very lightweight, which will make it easier to carry, but easy to tip over. There were no directions on how to set up or sync the flashes. I wish I would have gone with a higher quality set that cost more but was more substantial. ### ⭐⭐⭐ The descriptions are a bit misleading. *by S***C on January 16, 2013* Even though the equipment works. I personally don't feel it's worth what I paid for it. The descriptions for all of the equipment which comes in this kit was vague. The umbrellas were not "Professional Quality", let alone the stand or flashes. Majority of it was plastic and I fear that metal screws going into plastic lamp holders, will strip eventually. I would then have to purchase additional lamp holders. The legs were flimsy, so don't use them for anything, but the small 24" - 26" umbrellas and the flash and lamp holder.The sync flashes did work and work pretty well. The PC cables kept slipping off of my camera, so I had to compress the ends a little and now they are snug.I might have to put an extra coat of silver reflective material on the umbrellas, because they appear to be flaking off.I gave it a three, because the sync flashes worked well and lit my subjects adequately.Sorry for being critical, but I am mostly upset with the use of "Professional Quality" and "Premium" in the descriptions. It's kind of misleading.
