I called for advice from Vupoint and they were not helpful. Still have it but have never printed a single picture. **Q: Do you need both VuPoint Cube All-In-One Ink and Photo Paper Cartridge AND the VuPoint Photo Cube Color Cartridge Ink to operate the Photo Printer?** A: The ink is in the paper cartridge. It's like a thermal paper and everything is included in the package. There is no other ink to buy. Works great by the way. We use it at our Halloween parties for the kids in our community to take their pictures in their costumes. They love seeing the paper go back and forth in the machine adding each color until the picture is complete. I used it at our Halloween party and it was a big hit. We purchased foam frames for the kids to decorate and I was able to take pictures on my I Phone and give it to them right at the party. They were so thrilled to have a picture of themselves in their adorable costumes!!. Though not cheap at a per picture cost it only comes to about 30 cents per picture. So much easier then trying to go and getting digital pictures developed. The idea of getting the pictures immediately is wonderful. I haven't tried connecting it to android phones yet so I can't comment on how easy that is. Set up was easy but then I noticed that it requires docking and the docking connection is not for the iPhone 5. So I bought the Apple adapter and that didn't work. I then docked my old iPhone 4 to test it and it registered the iPhone but then said it was updating and I've been "waiting" ever since. It won't respond and has not printed 1 picture. I'm very frustrated that this photo cube is not working on any of my Apple devices.
