I've had this now for several years and as far as I can tell the battery is as strong as when I got it. I easily get 4 hours out of it, probably longer because I forget it's not plugged in and it seems to go forever. If you do buy one I suggest buying an extension cord for your ipod, iphone or ipad because when the phone is on the dock, it's not convenient to use.
