The dryer vent works better than the other models I researched and I am happy about this purchase. I needed a vent hose to connect the kit to the dryer which I purchased on desertcart also. In a well ventilated and open environment that is normally rather dry I have had no issue with the heat or humidity generated by my dryer venting through this product. We have an open floor plan Kitchen that our drier has a cubby in and a HVAC system. Thus, the heat and humidity haven't been a problem in summer, and a boon in winter. There is 0 concern for lint escape. We haven't seen a thread of it in the trap since beginning its use in 2022. If you're in a small, enclosed space with little Ventilation, this experience is likely to be very different. **Q: can this be connected to a sonya mini porrtable dryer thank you dustyrose 1927** A: I'm not personally familiar with that model dryer however, going by the filter that was suggested for purchase with it you should have no problem connecting the Indoor Lint Trap Filter. The same 4 inch flex hose is required for it's instillation. The one I purchased is attached to a full-sized electric dryer and it's so much cleaner and more convenient than our previous one, I'll be willing to bet that it will work even better on your mini dryer. **Q: With a washer and dryer configuration in a condominium, where/how would this unit be placed or mounted to provide easy access?** A: I have mine sitting on the floor beside the dryer inside a bucket so that the cats don't tip it over. It doesn't have a wall mount which would probably be easier. I don't know if you have a laundry/utility room or a laundry closet (not familiar with the condo configuration). If you want to get rid of the heat and humidity, forget about this, because you need an outside vent. However, this thing solves the third problem in an elegant way, catching the lint in a fine mesh, metal screen so it doesn't blow all over your room. It is also directional, meaning you can point the heat and moisture in a specific direction, rather than letting it just leak out everywhere. That can be helpful if you have a small laundry space and are trying to get the moisture out of the room so it can dissipate over the rest of the house. I had one of the cheaper things that was basically just a small tub of water that the vent sprayed into. It was better than nothing, but only just barely. It caught some of the lint, but tons still got ejected out into the room, coating everything and making for a big mess. I hated this "indoor snow" but just had to put up with it. This seems to catch all the lint, and it is easy to use and easy to keep clean. You just spin the little handle and clean the mesh, then chuck the water with the lint in it. I don't know how long it will hold up, but it definitely works much better than the cheaper one did. Don't use this if you have a gas dryer, it WILL kill you since a gas dryer also shoots carbon monoxide out the vent pipe. It is also kind of expensive for what it is, but it was worth it to me. Probably the only thing I don't like is that they assume you are going to permanently mount it somewhere, and if you just leave it sitting on top of the dryer it needs the water in the base to make it heavy enough to sit stable. Not a huge deal, except you want it empty of water except when it is in use.
