It features a dynamic mounting platform, adjustable convergence, and a no-tools telescoping post, making it the perfect companion for filmmakers seeking smooth, high-quality shots on the go. ## Description The re-designed XR-Series from Glidecam Industries brings versatility and affordability to the world of camera stabilization. The lightweight, state-of-the-art handheld stabilizers isolate the movements of your hand to create professional looking shots without camera shake. Now you can pan, tilt, boom or run and still get incredibly smooth and graceful shots, even when going to extremes. When it comes to normal shooting, like walking or moving slowly around, the results are equally magical. Each XR-series stabilizer has an offset, foam cushioned, handle grip attached to a free floating, three-axis gimbal which incorporates several adjustable, axis convergence controls. All three axes can intersect for proper operational alignment. Coupled with an overall higher inertia, the XR-Series stabilizer produces superior stabilization when compared to competitive systems. The camera mounting platform can be moved back-and-forth and side-to-side to reach the perfect horizontal balance. By adding more or less counter weight discs and by changing the length of the telescoping central post, you can adjust the camera's vertical balance. When balanced properly, the XR-Series stabilizer will deliver beautiful results, shot after shot. Your camera will seem to float. The XR-4000 is designed to handle compact and full-size cameras weighing from 4 to 10 lbs (1.8-4.5 kg) Each unit is made in the USA. ## Features - Designed for compact and full-size cameras weighing from 4 to 10 lbs (1.8-4.5 kg) - Dynamic camera mounting platform with 1/4" and 3/8" mounting holes - Adjustable convergence, precision, three-axis gimbalNo-tools telescoping central postAdjustable, inertial-control base platform1/4" mounting hole on base platform for optional LCD monitorFoam padded handle gripPrecision bearings in all vital points - Anodized black with laser-etched labelingRubber feet under base platformWeighs only 3 lbs without counter weight discs - Comes with 12 large (2.75 oz) and 4 small (1 oz) counter weight discs ## Images ![Glidecam XR-4000 hand-held camera stabilizer for cameras weighing 4-10 lbs - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91sSMzJnh5L.jpg) ![Glidecam XR-4000 hand-held camera stabilizer for cameras weighing 4-10 lbs - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51NnGMC4SzL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ Setup is a hassle *by B***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2014* I have struggled setting up this stabilizer. The instructions it came with has horrible graphics, almost as if someone photocopied it. The support around this system is very minimal even online. Most of the instructions online seem to support the HD models. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2015* The only way to improve this would be to ship it with non-plastic adjustment screws. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by T*** on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2017* Game changer for all the videos that ive been making. . . stabilizes perfectly. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1174940-glidecam-xr-4000-hand-held-camera-stabilizer-for-cameras-weighing](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/1174940-glidecam-xr-4000-hand-held-camera-stabilizer-for-cameras-weighing) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
