Our worst monster kitty to pill came down with Hyperthyroidism (thanks, high iodine fishy food!😠). Now, because we can't afford the radiation treatment (over $1,200), and she is not a candidate for surgical removal of the tumor due to a heart condition, she will get two pills a day, every day, for what we plan on being a long and full life for her!Knowing that this had a soft rubber tip gave me comfort as I didn't have to worry so much about my aim as I was trying to open-not get bitten-quickly insert Piller-push plunger then RUN! When you push the plunger, It seems to make a nice little "pop" sound and you know the pill is in (you just have to make sure it doesn't come out)! I run water over the tip to remove any pill debris and let it dry for the next 12-hours-later pill. After about a month, she doesn't love it, but she no longer tries to eat my face off---it's AWESOME! What I'm not in love with on the piller is the "ONE TIME USE" verbiage on the syringe. I can't imagine only using it once? That would be such an incredible waste, plus I don't believe it's recyclable, otherwise it wouldn't be so horrible; it's just not ideal to only use it one time. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't use it regularly? Another feature of the piller that doesn't make sense to me is that it has a syringe that, supposedly, you can use to pull water or some other liquid into and then insert the pill so it is washed down when you plunge. Again, I don't know if it's just my luck or what but I have two cats (pictured) on long term meds and both of the pills turn to mush when exposed to water. If they were coated pills it might be fine. I've recommended these pillers and also bought them for my parents for their dogs. I'm quite sure I'll be buying another at some point too. I recommend them! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I never thought I needed something like this, but my cat is on chemo and ... *by G***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 30, 2014* I never thought I needed something like this, but my cat is on chemo and I'm not supposed to touch the pills, so I thought I'd give this a try...all I can say is, I wish I'd bought it sooner. I can literally shoot the little pills down the cat's throat, incredible. For larger pills I had to cut the tip open a little more, and it wasn't successful the first time, because she spit the pill out, but the second time was successful, which is equally amazing, as I've never been able to give her large pills by hand before. The product seems like maybe it isn't designed for this application though because the tip has to be cut back to fit even the smallest of pills and comes cut back, and it's obvious someone just used some scissors, and it says "single use" on the device. Not problem though, and as I said it works well, and I'll come back and give it five stars if the product holds up for a decent amount of time. ### ⭐⭐⭐ NOT FOR SMALL DOGS *by G***2 on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 6, 2015* I'm not really impressed with this syringe. We have small dogs, so the pills we give are small, and ofter we have to cut the pills in halves or quarters.
