I bought the XL because that was the largest size available and it fits like an XL tee shirt. I wanted a light-weight between-seasons coat that will allow for a sweater or sweatshirt underneath on cooler days. This coat will not allow for anything heavy underneath. Why, in America where women are generally getting larger, would any company that wants to make a profit not make their products in larger sizes? It makes no sense at all. I have decided to keep it because it is a nuisance and expensive to return it, and I can wear it with a light weight top until I hopefully lose some weight. If it came in a 1X I would probably buy it again (in the larger size) because I like the color and style. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice jacket, but not for me. *by C***W on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2018* I wear a med in tops but ordered a large in this because of review about it being tight in the shoulders and I also wanted it to zip comfortably at the hips as I do carry my weight there. I feel the large is a little big, but afraid that the med might be a little snug. It also felt stiff at the neck as it wants to stand up and no softness in the fabrication for it to really lay to the sides so it bothered me. It is a nice jacket but just didn't work for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nicely made jacket *by R***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2017* I really like the detailing on this jacket. That said, after looking at the sizing chart, I ordered a Medium (I normally wear medium tops and size 12 pants). This jacket was very snug across the shoulders even with just a t-shirt under it. I'm hippy, and it zipped up but was a little tight around the hips when zipped. I exchanged it for a Large, and although it is slightly big in the shoulders (the sleeve seam is a little below the top of my shoulder), it's roomy enough when I lift my arms and I could wear a light sweater under it. I am petite (5'3") and the sleeves are much too long. I turned them up a good 4" and lost all the stitching detail on the cuffs, but that's okay with me.
