Review: Works great - Excellent. Perfect size easy to use. Arrive fast and yeast activated fast. Great value and no off flavor.
Review: The yeast that keeps on yeasting - I bought this yeast to try making kvass, hard cider, young mead, and hard tea at home. The kvass failed because of me. The young mead and the hard tea were alright. The cider, though, was outstanding. That was a few months ago. The sediment from the cider went on to inoculate my first cranberry ciders/wines. That sediment was used to start a bunch of others, and as far as I can tell, I haven't actually touched the yeast in weeks. I think, altogether, I used less than a teaspoon of it, and I'm pumping out 10 liters a week of experimental fermented juices. The only thing it doesn't like is mango. Everything else I've tried: apple, cranberry, pomegranate, passionfruit, dragonfruit, white grape, and kiwi juice, went great. Sometimes too great. White grape and pomegranate are apparently superfoods for this yeast. All the other juices, I ferment in closed 2L bottles that I 'burp' twice a day. When it comes to white grape and pomegranate, it produces CO2 so fast it blew up a lesser bottle over night. I think the cap achieved escape velocity. Anyway, I can wholeheartedly recommend this yeast for amateurs who want to dabble in turning juices into carbonated soft drinks with a little kick. The only caveat is that I don't see myself finishing even the first pack. The sediment this yeast leaves behind is fantastic for starting the next batch. I don't even remember the last time I added yeast nutrient either. I don't think I've had a stalled fermentation yet.
