These chess pieces of a Viking design have been made from plastic and they are packed in a polybag as an economical set. With a 96mm / 3,75" King this set is ideal for our folding plastic and vinyl roll-up chess boards with square size of 55mm. Thanks to felt pads on the bottom these pieces glide across the board nicely.

The plastic seems like it would be very durable for a long time. They do not seem like cheap plastic that will dry out and crack. They are solid plastic but are softer type of plastic that will not break easily if dropped. I got them to start to teach my 4 year old grandson how to play chess. These are perfect. It is hard to find human looking pieces for less money. These were a great buy for the money. Very impressed with them.

**Q: Are these pieces weighted?**
A: They are solid plastic, not hollow. A nice weight... But no extra weight.

**Q: I love the set. One of the white pawns came broken.  Can you replace a single pawn, or do I need to return the entire set for a new set?**
A: Contact the company and tell them you need a replacement pawn of "x" color... Ask what it would cost. You can also make a pawn by making a mold (elastic polymer can be used). There was a website that sold individual chess pieces, you can try finding that on the internet and see if they carry that piece.

**Q: Is it 32 pieces, or 32 plus 2 Extra queens?**
A: Just 32 pieces, no extra queens.

**Q: How tall are these pieces**
A: The kind are 3 and 3/4 inches tall... That is to the top of their helmet feathers. Base is about 1 and 1/16 inch diameter. Piece are proportional in size.  Pawns are the shortest...are a little over 2 and 1/4 inch tall.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Interesting themed set

I purchased these pieces as soon as I saw them because I already have the Roman Legion set and this one appears to be of the same quality. It does not come with a board. I think they look good on a black and silver board with 1 9/16" wide squares. If you wanted, you could have the Roman Legion pieces face the Viking pieces on the chess board. I will note that the pawns do not remind me of Vikings... just wild men.
