Review: citrus-y and fresh - I'm on a bit of a Demeter kick at the moment and I've tried some amazing scents from them (Floral Show, Honeysuckle, Salt Air), and some not-so-great scents from them (Clover, Cinnamon, Turpentine). One thing I have learned is that while they do some fragrances as a spot-on imitation (Turpentine!), others are sort of an interpretation. I was hoping rain might emulate the smell of concrete pavers and soil absorbing the rain as it fell- there's a very distinct smell to that. Alas, rain is NOT that. Instead, it's a clean, green, almost citrus-y smell. It reminds me of herbs that smell like citrus. There's also a transparency to it, which is nice. So no, this isn't the EXACT smell of rain. But it certainly evokes rain. And it's BEAUTIFUL in a very unisex way- it just smells fresh and clean. This is probably one of my favorite Demeter fragrances.
