I was only familiar with water soluble wash-away stabilizers before so I was a little thrown off when this one refused to melt when I took a wet cloth to it, but Shay at World Weidner explained that this material requires agitation in a washing machine to wash away. The "melt away" stabilizers are Solvy and Vilene.This stabilizer will wash away from uncovered areas, but its fibers will remain trapped under the stitches of solid areas, adding strength to your designs.
