With over 30 years of expertise, SOFOLK ensures high-quality results for leather, faux leather, and plastic repairs. ## Description Leather Repair Kit: Cracks and Holes This kit contains all the necessary components for a permanent repair of a crack in the leather of your car seat or sofa, for up to 15 cm long and a few cm wide tears. Correct crack repair is achieved by gluing the included leather piece on the back. Check if the leather piece is really larger than your tear. Slightly sand the leather piece and the back of your leather around the crack. Insert the leather piece under the crack. The repair paste is used here as an adhesive. Apply the paste generously to the leather piece. Try to closer the two edges of the crack as much as possible. Fill the remaining slot with the repair paste. - Together with this set you will receive full instructions (may not be in English). Déjà la pièce de cuir fournie est bien du véritable cuir : ça sent le fauve et ça résiste aux flammes, contrairement aux autres où c'est du simili (mais le précisent en général). Je devais reprendre une sacoche qui avait 2 déchirures, et contrairement aux autres personnes qui ont testé sur l'assise de leur siège en cuir, le cuir de ma sacoche est très souple, ce qui a permis à la colle de rester en place même après la peinture. J'ai également peint le cuir ensuite, j'attends désormais le vernis pour protéger le cuir des frottements (et la peinture également mais aussi de la pluie).Je reviendrais mettre à jour mon commentaire dans quelques mois (ou avant si ça n'a pas tenu).En tout cas je suis satisfait du résultat. Il n'est aps parfait comme vous le verrez mais ça n'est en aucun cas gênant. Si j'avais un papier de verre plus fin et un moyen de poncer sans que trop de matière ne soit retirée (et là c'est pire qu'une déchirure du cuir) j'aurai pu avoir un meilleur résultat. Mais encore une fois, ça me suffit largement, même ma femme n'en revenait pas après avoir vu l'état d'origine de la sacoche et suite à la réparation. Parcontre c'est super cher je trouve. Un professionnel aurait pris moins cher.
