Does it add any background noise or hiss when using or turning it up?** A: The way I set it up was through the TV, at the optical port. Yes, you can turn up the tv volume and it's just like the tv's speakers working. You can also mute the tv's speakers, and the volume control on the tv still operates the volume on the Prozor converter. I didn't hear any background noises, when using it with headsets. **Q: Does this work with the Apple Airport Express?** A: I don't know. I do not have Apple products. It worked great to connect a blu ray to the older RCA jacks. **Q: What is the headphone impendance? I have Beyerdynamic 80 ohm headphones.** A: I would contact Prozor for an answer to that question. I don't see anything about impedence in the description. Product works fine with my Turtle Beach and Bose headphones though. **Q: I bought this product without the sound control. i used it to connect an old bose system to a new tv. will this help control the volume on the bose?** A: I think it will, but I'm not sure if you are looking to increase or decrease the volume. DAC is connected to my computer via an optical cable to Asus xonar d2x sound card. The sound output is very crisp and clear especially the vocals. There is also very clear highs and you might hear lot of sound in music that you may have not heard before. Since the headphone is a open ear kind, there is a better sound stage and will feel clear distinction of sounds coming from each instrument. The classic soft rock and jazz just sounds beautiful. and The best part of this headphone is the comfort when you wear it. Perfectly covers your ears. However, the headphone is not going to overwhelm you as it does not highlight the lows and highs. Sound is very balanced. There is enough bass but not too punchy. The headphones will be perfect for sound editing and monitoring but not so much for your everyday music hearing. Thats the reason i have reduced one star. It is a great headphone, don't get me wrong.
