Was having the same problem. The fix for me was to follow the manufacturer's advice and connect the dongle via a USB extension lead. I thought attaching it to a front USB port would minimise interference from the computer but I was wrong. The bulbs paired flawlessly once the dongle was away from the computer. The extension lead I used is about 1m long. **Q: Does it works with aqara hubs** A: You dont need an Aqara Hub if you have a ConBee II. Our device makes other hubs irrelevant. **Q: Normally when pairing a new hue device to the hue hub, you have to press a button on the hub for security. how does the usb hub deal with this?** A: The software you install with this device, called phoscon, has a user interface (UI) and you select in the UI to put it in pairing mode. **Q: Does it work with zigbee2mqtt and/or HomeAssistant?** A: yes definitely does. I used this with both homeassistant zha and zigbee2mqtt.
