Handwriting recognition ordinary at best. I wanted to be able to read lots of different material in e-ink and it is great for that. As good as I could have expected. Handles reading apps very well. Used Scrib'd and KOBO apps. Also Borrowbox for reading for free from the local library. Books can be read straight from their "native" apps in E-Ink. The size is great because you don't have to page turn so often. Obviously it makes it a bit heavy slightly more awkward. Lovely and thin, battery has been great.
