It looks like there's a curved overhang that extends out to the front of the model, so the additional 2" actually adds to the overall depth, not height. **Q: can use outdoors?** A: No. Think of the unit as similar to a china cabinet. A number of the electrical wiring connections are located in the roof area of the sauna which is not sealed closed. **Q: is this chemical free?** A: There are no chemicals in this sauna. The interior wood is non treated so you don't have to worry about any fumes from lackers or stains **Q: How is the sound?
