I would say the design is an exact replica. However, the material and build quality of this version seems low, although the low price does reflect this. The design itself is very nice. Unfortunately, I can not speak for the longevity of the fan as it stopped working for me about 1 month after I received it. The fan just stopped and will not turn on anymore. I had been using it off and on daily, and when it finally went out it had been running constantly for about 3 days during a heat wave. Not sure if the fan would have stopped functioning anyway or if it was because I had it running for 3 days. Anyway, this was my experience.
