**Q: Will this cut 1/2 cementboard?**
A: It cuts hardie backer board better than cement board because cement board is more of a cemented material with thread inserted.

**Q: Can i use this on a 20v drill?**
A: yes you can i use mine with a a ridgid 18 volt drill just make sure it is a drill and not a impact driver

**Q: Can this be used to cut 5/16" cement board siding (cemplank), as opposed to backer board?**
A: Absolutely.  In fact, I didn't know it would cut backer board.  I built a shed with 5/16" hardiboard siding all the way around, and it was one of the life savers of the project.

**Q: I want to add trim around windows, can this be used on already installed cement fiber board?**
A: No, the cutting mechanism on the tool needs at least 1” space behind the board in order to travel freely up and down while it cuts

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use and works great

This is the first time I have ever needed to cut Hardi Backer (1/4 inch thick cement board) and this tool worked fantastic. Looking online, there are a number of different ways to cut cement board, but the other methods seemed prone to cracking or having rough edges. Since I have never used any method other than this pactool to cut cement board, I cannot verify this is true, however, I can say the pactool provided very smooth edges without cracking. I it was also easy to cut corners and round the edges. Super easy to use right out of the box. Just envision cutting cement board using a pair of scissors and you get the concept of how this tool works.
