## Description

The NP11 is a 61-key model that takes Piaggero's signature concept of Slim, Light, and Compact to a new level. It features high-quality voices and expresses piano sound more realistic than ever before. The NP11 offers a wide variety of use with simple, user-friendly functions. Distinguished craftsmanship is emphasized by the strip of red felt at the keyboard's back end. AWM, or Advanced Wave Memory, Stereo sampling is a sampling system creating superb wave data that mirrors the sound and expression of the original instrument by using advanced digital technologies. It creates a unique, rich sound by using multiple waveforms. The NP 11 uses a highly efficient stereo amplifier, generating a solid sound in this slim, light and compact digital piano. With 2.5 watts per channel, the NP11 is ready to go whenever you are. The NP11 comes with a function that turns off the power automatically if the keyboard has not been used for a set amount of time (30 minutes) in order to avoid using power unnecessarily.

Review: sImple, no frills keyboard - I purchased this for work with my Sweet Adelines Womens' barbershop chorus. I am one of the section leaders and I needed a keyboard to help us learn our songs. It is exactly what I needed--portable, no fancy bells and whistles, just a keyboard to give us the intervals to sing our particular part. I also wanted to get into arranging songs in barbershop style chord structures. I took this to my class, and it gave me a nice, clean sound to help me figure out chords needed. I am very happy with this simple keyboard--I have exactly what I need to help my chorus learn our music faster and with more accuracy. I have also discovered it awakened my desire to play more than just using the hunt and peck method. The keys respond nicely, and are only slightly smaller than full size. I was worried that maybe I would need more than 61 keys, but even if I become a more proficient piano player, this range is perfectly adequate for my needs. I was happy to see it has a metronome, that is a valuable feature. Bottom line is that the simplicity of it, the light weight, the 61 key range, the responsiveness of the keys, the nice sound and the great price make this a very good deal for someone who just needs to be able to learn vocal music and chord structure.
Review: Well made, just okay sound - Overall, for the money, a good little keyboard. It's solidly built, has a decent playing feel (but no piano action, of course), and okay sound. I say "okay" because maybe I was expecting too much, based on the wonderful Yamaha YPP-200 I scored for only $450 about 12 years ago. That unit has excellent sounds, particularly the grand piano. Here...eh. I think they adjusted tonality for the internal speakers, which don't have much high end. If you use good headphones or hook up to a good stereo, the sound has a noticeable digital "edge" on the upper registers. And the grand piano really sounds as much electric as it does acoustic. But, fortunately, I can use MIDI to access better piano sounds inside my computer DAW. So considering it also functions as a basic MIDI keyboard controller...reasonable deal.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can anyone confirm whether or not the keys on this keyboard are full-sized?**
A: FYI...I didn't purchase this keyboard here on Amazon. The keys are NOT standard piano size! I can easily reach beyond one octave on this keyboard..,.wo full steps if I really stretch, whereas on traditional piano or other digital keyboards, I JUST reach one octave.
It's a nice, good-sounding, lightweight digital piano, but switching back and forth to TRUE key size is maddening.

**Q: Are the keys weighted?**
A: This model does not have weighted keys. They call it semi-weighted but it is not the same as piano-weighted keys.

**Q: Can I use headphone with this model?**
A: Yes. It has a 1/4-inch (0.25 inch) output. If your headphones are 1/8-inch, you'll need a stereo adapter.

**Q: There is no power cord included? I need to purchase the ac power cord?**
A: In 2012 I had to buy the Yamaha PA130 120 Volt Keyboard AC Power Adaptor as an extra. It did not come with the piano.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, just okay sound

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's keys don't feel or carry on simply like a piano
*by J***Y on May 22, 2016*

It's extremely reduced, and not uproarious. I used to play traditional piano growing up, and now for the most part play other music, however needed something to chip away at harmonies with, and to play for no particular reason. This is not a costly console, so you know you are not getting an advanced piano substitution, isn't that so? It's keys don't feel or carry on simply like a piano, and sound quality is great, however not through the rooftop. All things considered, I'm truly happy this turned out! It's a financial plan console with elements more coordinated to real practice and playing than having a million unique rhythms and voices, or having worked in piano lessons. It has a conventional piano stable and pleasant touch-delicate keys. I think it would be extraordinary for little condo or apartment rehearse, as a super convenient console, or on the off chance that you have an exceptionally restricted spending plan and need your assets to go to components like sound quality and keys as opposed to a huge amount of rhythms and voices. I think it would likewise be sufficiently noisy for classroom utilize yet I'm not certain.
