Review: Great Game for Socializing & Traveling - I saw this game on Wil Wheaton's TableTop (poor Jason Ritter) and had to buy it! I played this game with my husband a few times before packing it into my carry-on for a 9-day cruise with his parents, brother, brother's gf, cousin, cousin's bf, aunt, and uncle. This game was a life saver! We ended up in a horrible, grungy hotel the night before the cruise and this game took our minds off of the decrepit surroundings. Plus, the game comes in a small-ish and well-protected tin case that I decided to carry with me everywhere we went (you know, just in case I had need to Roll For It). On the cruise, during sea days or before dinner time, we got the entire family playing the game while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and enjoying cocktails. The game is very easy to teach and everyone was able to socialize and have fun while playing. After the cruise, several family members texted me for the game information so that they could order it for themselves. The artwork on the cards is beautiful, my only recommendation would be to make the color more distinct between the bronze and gold framed cards. The velvet bag is good quality and handy for storage. The fit of the dice-filled velvet bag in the tin is a little tight. You have to flatten the dice into a single plane to be able to close the lid all the way. The dice are nice, all in good condition, no pip defects. Also, these are small dice, not your standard Yahtzee sized dice, so keep that in mind (it surprised me when I opened the game). Otherwise, I love it! It’s a nice, casual, light-weight game.

**Q: This seems WAY pricey for dice & a set of cards; is one of the earlier editions the same without paying for the little felt bag and tin box?**
A: The deluxe version is like buying two of the smaller versions. It has two decks and eight sets of dice. I bought this because it also has better artwork than the two plain versions in red and blue. You could easily buy the other two single sets and combine them, perhaps for less than this one deluxe edition but then you miss out on the great artwork and the single tin box. For me, this was way worth it.

**Q: What size are the dice? someone mentioned they upgraded to 16 mm so are they 12 or smaller? normal role for it has tiny dice**
A: They are not upgraded to 16, they are 12 mm. I have this tin. It has a 2014 print date and to my knowledge, no new dice have been introduced since then. Though small, they are not the ultra tiny dice... They are very comfortable to use with a large number of players. Since this version plays up to 8 people, the dice are nicely sized for placement next to the cards during play. Larger dice might get crowded with the increased number of players.

**Q: I've heard the quality of the Red and Purple versions is sub-par...how does the quality of this version compare?**
A: The quality of the red and purple versions is not sub-par, they are just the original versions of the game for 4 players.  This is the deluxe version which just means it can play up to 8 players and comes in a nice tin instead of box.  I've played both and didn't notice any difference in quality of dice or cards.

**Q: Are the dice sets consistent with the colors/ patterns with the sets in the picture? Or are they random sets. (which would be wonderful)**
A: They are exactly as shown. the dice are colored to make teams. you can always just get 6 casino sized dice of your favorite color if you want some extra flare!

Came across this game here on Amazon, and purchased it (along with the Red and Purple editions) after watching the video for how to play the game which can be found on the listings for both the Red and Purple editions of the game. Here is the link for the Purple edition: http://www.amazon.com/Roll-For-It-Purple-Edition/dp/B00E3S8K84?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_6 It is an easy game to learn, and a quick game to play (average game length is stated to be 20 - 40 minutes. I have not timed how long it has taken us to play it, but it hasn't seemed to take very long). I was able to teach my friends and family how to play the game in just a couple of minutes, and they really enjoyed how quickly they were able to start playing and enjoying the game. This Deluxe version is for 2 - 8 players (and has nicer cards), and the Red and Purple editions are for 2 - 4 players (or you can combine both editions for up to 8 players). I bought all three editions of the game because we sometimes have more than 8 - 12 players at our game nights. The games are small in size, so they are easily transportable. They can fit in a pocket or purse, and you can play them at places you go to, like restaurants or coffee shops. I am very happy with this purchase.
