My Yorkie (Kirby) has kidney disease and requires daily Omega-3. ArcaNatura Omega-3 provides Omega-3 without including other Omega vitamins. Many of the Omega supplements on the market also include other Omega vitamins which could be harmful to dogs with kidney disease. He always found the fish oil-based Omega-3 capsules tasty but it made his breath disgusting and his face oily. This product doesn't do that. I just spray it onto his food. The directions don't require it to be mixed into the food but I do so the oil doesn't sit on top of the food and get onto his face while he eats. If you have a short-haired dog that probably wouldn't be an issue. Incidentally, my veterinarian recently attended a conference where the use of algae-based Omega vitamins rather than fish oil (which can contain Mercury), was recommended. ### ⭐⭐ Not for Carnivores *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016* I didn't notice any difference in my cats trainability, energy, or coat when they took this as opposed to when they didn't. I realized after the fact that this may be because their bodies aren't meant to process plant based nutrients. If you're looking for a DHA supplement for a carnivore, maybe look for supplements derived from animal fats.
